Jibhi, a remote village in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh is one of the most beautiful places😍
I visited Jibhi on 14-15th December 2019📆. My plan was to go to Sirolsar Lake but due to a snow fall ❄❄I was not able to visit it and only visited Jibhi.
I started from Chandigarh and actually on my Honda Aviator🏍😎. Jibhi is around 280 km😌 from Chandigarh. There are two ways from Chandigarh one is via Shimla, Narkanda and than Jarauli pass and the other is via Mandi. I decided to go via Mandi as there was risk 😏of road closure due to snow if I would have gone via Shimla. The route via Mandi is very nice EXCEPT a 10km stretch in near Kullu, where the work of tunnels is going on and that road is really in bad condition 😖with a lot of pot holes 🕳. Now after that when you reach near the kullu tunnel (I don’t exactly remember the no. Of that tunnel, maybe it’s T320, something like this, but don’t worry at present there is only one tunnel and I think it will take nearly 5 years for more tunnels to come up) don’t enter🚫 the tunnel and take the road going ahead⬆️. This road will take you to the Jibhi.
In Jibhi there are 03 Hostels🏚. I tried in Hostalgic (name of hostel) but didn’t get any bed there than i confirmed other hostels but all were full. Moving ahead i decide to look for a Home stay. So there is a home stay 🏘named Shringi Vatika and I must suggest you that it’s really good one. Rent is Rs1500/- for single bed room. All the rooms are wooden and I am sure that you gonna love it. Food is also available and the lady there, she makes very tasty food so you don’t need to run for food (do try gobhi Prantha) 😋. Also you can do Bon fire 🔥 there. Overall the couple 👫managing that Shringi Vatika is really nice.
Next day I have to go to Sirolsar, but due to snowfall ❄❄road was closed so I decided to go till Jarauli pass but up till there, there was snow of about 4 ft on the road. So I went up-to Sauja. Even in Jibhi and Sauja you will get awesome view and these areas are very peaceful. You can enjoy the river🗻 side and mountains and if you are going in winters you can enjoy snow too.
And yes I didn’t face any problem going by Scotty. Be careful about the fuel as nearest petrol pump from Jibhi is about 30Km.
